Inkscape is a free vector drawing program that you can compare to Adobe Illustrator. Vector images are made from simple objects such as dots, lines, and curves. Inkscape is a useful tool to make logos. On their website and on YouTube you can find many tutorials on how to make a logo. The program can be used on both Mac OS and Windows.
Affinity designerAffinity designer is one of the best programs for making logos, prints, and concept drawings. This program is comparable to Adobe Illustrator, but a lot cheaper. It has many different tools and effects to create anything you want. On their website, you can check out all the tools before buying the program. It is available for both Windows, Mac OS, and iPads and costs €54,99 (one-time payment).
CanvaCanva is a free website and app with which you can use all types of designs. You can think of social media content, print products, icons, and logos. It is the perfect program to use if you have no experience with design, as you can choose from professionally designed logo templates. This way, you only need to add the name of your brand and change the design to match the style of your company. To use Canva, you need to make an account. After you have made this account, you can design and download files for free. If you want more functions, such as more template options or removing backgrounds, you can choose the pro version of Canva. This costs €109,99 a year and a maximum of 5 people can use it.
LogasterLogaster is a website where you don't need to design your logo from scratch. You only need to fill in the name of your company/brand and multiple design options will appear, and you can choose between different professional logos. You can also choose colors or the type of company you are making the logo for. You can save your favorite designs and adapt them to your wishes. Logaster is useful if you want a professional logo but don't want to invest too much money or time. Making and downloading small logos is free.
