How to make a sticker stick better.

Stickers are used for many different purposes. For example, they can be used for advertising, labels, to provide information and for decoration. But there is nothing more annoying than having the perfect sticker that won't stick!

Types of Stickers

We offer different types of stickers. You can choose between polyester, paper- and kraftstickers. These types of material are perfect for different purposes. For example, our paper and kraft stickers are often ordered for labels. The polyester stickers last for a long time and are therefore used for multiple different purposes.

We use stickers with a strong adhesive bond, but these differ somewhat from each other. For example, polyester stickers have a stronger adhesive bond than the paper and kraft stickers. This is because they are also suitable for outdoor use and the material lasts longer.

But, there are several ways to make your sticker stick even better!

Tips for placing your sticker

  • Degrease your surface: stickers will stick better to a surface that has been degreased first. This can easily be done with water and detergent or an all-purpose cleaner.

  • Temperature between 10 and 30 degrees: the ideal temperature to place a sticker is between 10 and 30 degrees. With these temperatures we do not only mean the outside temperature, but the temperature of the surface as well! If the structure is too cold, the glue will harden faster and will not stick as well. It is the best for the sticker, the outside temperature, as well as the surface to be at least 15 degrees.

  • Apply pressure to the sticker: stickers stick better when enough pressure is applied. Pushing it well certainly helps the sticker!

  • The right surface: if the surface that you want the sticker to be applied to isn't smooth, it may only adhere to the highest points. As a result, the sticker will stick less than on a smooth surface. So, always look first at the surface you want to place the sticker on.

Placing larger stickers

When applying larger stickers, you don't want to get air bubbles under your stickers. This is best done by following a few simple steps:

  1. Choose the right spot for your sticker, once something has been stuck, we do not recommend removing it.

  2. Remove a small edge of the sticker and try to stick it as tightly as possible to the floor.

  3. Fold the sticker over and pull the bottom sheet again. Put pressure on the sticker with a towel. This way you can push out any air bubbles that may come in between.

  4. Try to pull the paper as flat as possible and take your time.

  5. Does your entire sticker stick perfectly, but do you still have a single small air bubble? For this you can carefully poke a hole in the air bubble with a small needle. This way the air escapes and you can push the sticker flat. The hole is hardly noticeable!

  6. Now you have stuck the sticker perfectly!
