Trends in print: Sustainability

One of the biggest trends of recent times, which will continue to be important in the future, is sustainability. People are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of reuse and the scarcity of raw materials. We are also increasingly seeing this awareness reflected in the printing process.

Sustainability in Print

Print work is often seen as a one-off product: flyers that are handed out, posters that are temporarily hung up, and magazines that are intended for a one-off publication. Yet we see the importance of sustainability increasingly reflected in print.

People are becoming increasingly aware of the use of trees for paper and the impact of printing on the environment. At Print&Bind we are also aware of this. That is why we contribute to sustainability in various ways:

  • We only use paper with eco-labels, recycled paper or paper made from agricultural waste.

  • We are always looking for even more environmentally conscious types of paper.

  • We recycle all our residual paper.

  • Our printers are more environmentally friendly: the Canon printers run on water-based ink!

  • All our systems are designed in such a way that we waste as little paper as possible.

Our Papertypes

Our standard paper type, 80 grams, is Paperwise paper. This paper is made from 100% agricultural waste, so no trees are cut down! Our paper stickers are also made from this type of paper, as are our eco fiber paper and 70 gram wrapping paper.

All our other paper types have environmental labels such as FSC, PEFC and the European Ecolabel. These labels stand for sustainable forest management and environmentally friendly production of the paper types. But even better is the use of fully recycled paper types. That is why we are constantly looking for the best paper types and keep our products up to date.
