Wat betekent randloos printen?
Borderless printing means that the document is produced in such a way that there are no white borders. This is of course provided that the document is supplied in the correct format and without white borders. The document is printed from edge to edge. In most cases we can print a document borderless. When compiling your order, you can choose the 'bleed/borderless printing' option. Because we have to print borderless products on larger paper and cut them back to the correct size, borderless production is slightly more expensive.
When should I choose borderless printing?
In the case of a full-page design, choose borderless printing. The document is then printed on a larger sheet of paper and subsequently trimmed to the desired size. You can upload your document in our order form and immediately see it in the preview. This preview shows what your document will ultimately look like, and what the difference is between borderless and non-borderless printing. When printing brochures, flyers and posters, we almost always recommend opting for borderless printing. It is nicer if a design or photo extends to the edge. This of course depends on the design of your document. Have you chosen a white background, white frames or do you not have any photos/images that extend to the edge? Then borderless printing is not necessary.
Which type of paper do I choose for my printing?
Thicker paper is sturdy and is often used for printing cards and book covers. The thinner paper is often used for printing interiors. Examples:
Images and photos: Thicker paper such as 160 grams or 170 grams.
Outdoor printing: Water-resistant paper such as polyester paper.
Book covers: Sturdy paper types such as Natural Cardboard, Classic or Old Dutch.
Inside of magazines or books: Thinner types of paper such as 80 grams or 100 grams.
