What is the RGB color system?

The RGB color system uses the three primary colors: Red, Green, and Blue. This system is applied to everything that emits light, such as televisions, computer screens, phones, and lamps.

RGB works with additive color mixing: by combining different colors of light, new colors are created. When red, green, and blue are combined at full intensity, white light is produced. The more light you add, the lighter the color becomes.

Since printers use ink instead of light, they use the CMYK color system instead of RGB.
