What is a safety margin?
To prevent important text or images from falling off the page when printing or cutting your prints, you must take into account a margin of at least 5 millimetres. This means that no (important) text or images should be closer than 5 mm from the edge, because everything in this space runs the risk of being lost when printing or being cut away when "cutting clean". This safety margin must also be taken into account when the document is formatted with bleed and/or crop marks.
