What is a softcover?
A softcover is the cover of a book made of sturdy paper. Unlike a hardcover, this is not made of sturdy cardboard, but is bendable.
Softcover vs Hardcover
The difference between a hardcover and a softcover is the material of the cover. A softcover, also called paperback, has a cover made of sturdy paper or thin cardboard, making it flexible and light to carry. A hardcover, on the other hand, is made of sturdy cardboard, sometimes even wood, and is often covered with a layer such as vinyl or linen, on which a print is placed. At Print&Bind we only make softcover books.
