Which envelopes match which paper types?
At Print&Bind we offer envelopes in 28 different colours, and 16 different types of paper. This can help you to make the print work completely to your liking, but it can also make the choice difficult. To help you choose envelopes, we have made a list of which envelopes go well with which paper types.
Black, white and grey
The neutral colours of these envelopes make them easy to combine with all types of paper. This makes a special type of paper stand out even more. They are also well suited for less cheerful events.
Metallic envelopes
The metallic envelopes have a slight shimmer. We have these envelopes in the colours gold, silver, white, bronze, champagne, sand and black. Our metallic and pearl paper has a similar shimmer. Do you think that's a bit too much? Then 350 grams card is also a good option! These envelopes are perfect for a festive celebration or special announcement.
Light colours
Light pink, light blue, light green, light yellow, apricot. All these beautiful soft shades give a cheerful, but not too present feel to the card. These are often chosen for birth, moving or birthday cards. The more special types of paper such as Old Dutch, Linen or Classic are often chosen for this.
Natural envelopes
The sand, kraft and ivory envelopes all have a brown/beige colour. Especially sand, terrazzo and kraft have a natural look, which makes these envelopes a good match with the paper types Classic, Old Dutch, Linen and Eco Fibre. These types of paper are less white than regular Card paper, and old Dutch and linen also have a tangible structure. Do you want the most ecologically responsible option? Then choose the combination of Eco Fibre paper with sand envelopes.
